Hei! I'm Bjørg. :3 I'm a Svalbard reindeer and am born and raised in the United States and would like to move to Norway in the near future! I'd like to make friends here and would love to start talking with people, but I'm not very positive where to get started. I'm also learning Norwegian on Duolingo!

Welcome. :)
I'm just curious, of all the places in the world, why Norway?
And I'm sure you'll get friends if/when you move over, there's furry communities in all the big cities in Norway, there's even som in the smaller areas.

Welcome to us :)

Hi and welcome to Norpaws.
Where in the US are you from?
I live in Massachusetts, lived here since birth. I've actually heard about the trend recently with Norwegians using "Texas" as a synonym for "crazy," that's really funny! x3
Welcome. :)

I don't really like the United States much at all. After I got out of high school in 2010, I'd done research over the years about living in other countries because I've gotten progressively more tired with our conservative politics, heavy capitalism that forces most into poverty, and just not very nice people all-around. Norway seems very wonderful. It seems like people are much warmer and more concerned with human rights than Americans, I like the way the economy is run, people's greater interest in the outdoors. It's hard to explain, but I'm ready for a change. And I think Norway seems like the right place.
